The following is a response from the City of Calgary with respect to the application for a liquor store at #117 – 4820 Northland Drive NW:

Please be advised that the Development Authority approved the above noted development permit application on November 3, 2017. Your concerns regarding this application were taken into consideration during the review process and a corresponding decision was made. Reasons for the approval are as follows:
· There are no parcels containing a “School – Private” use or “School Authority – School” use located within 150m.
· No other liquor store is located within 300m.
· The net parking demand on the parcel remains the same.
· A liquor store has existed on this parcel in the past (DP1996-2691) from Oct 1996-Oct 2006.

The decision by the Development Authority may be appealed to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (1st Floor, 1212 31 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7S8). If you decide to file an appeal, it must be submitted by midnight on November 23, 2017.

An appeal along with reasons must be submitted, together with payment of a $100.00 fee, to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
